Ever wanted to smell your own tweets? Well, now you can! Wait, let me explain. British design research group Mint Digital has invented a device, which they call Olly (tagline: "The web connected smelly robot"), that monitors your computer for specific events—like Twitter mentions or Facebook updates—and emits smells accordingly. Before you get too excited, each Olly module can only pair a single type of notification with a single odor, so it's more like a plug-in air freshener than an interactive Odorama card. It does allow for customizable smells, though. Does Thinkgeek know about this thing? It's perfect for their catalog. Plus, their customers are the only people who would ever buy this, ever. Via Co.
